The Netherlands has become the latest stop on the international #WASHinWAR<\/strong> tour. Through a partnership with Cordaid<\/strong>, a member of the Caritas network, the Ukrainian photo exhibition has been presented to Dutch audiences for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition officially debuted on 21 June during a symposium organized by Lifeline Ukraine<\/strong> at De Balie cultural center in Amsterdam. It is also on display in The Hague, introducing international audiences to the impact of Russia’s war on Ukraine’s water infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition features 28 photographs by Ukrainian photographers documenting the destruction of water supply systems and its consequences for people’s daily lives. Damage to Ukraine’s water infrastructure is currently estimated at more than US$11 billion<\/strong>, while approximately 13 million people<\/strong> have lost direct access to a water supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is part of the international #WASHinWAR<\/strong> campaign, which raises awareness of water security, the protection of critical infrastructure, and the humanitarian consequences of war. Following presentations in Norway, Denmark, and now the Netherlands, the campaign continues to expand its international reach, bringing together partners around the resilience of water systems during armed conflicts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
