At the Water Recovery Forum 2025, held within ReBuild Ukraine in Warsaw, the Caritas Ukraine team presented the advocacy initiative #WASHinWAR. The event brought together representatives of Ukrainian and European institutions, humanitarian organizations, donors, businesses, and municipalities to jointly explore solutions for water security and the restoration of critical infrastructure.

During the panel discussion, WASH Program Manager Tetiana Yatsiuk stated:
“Ukraine’s water security during the war is a shared responsibility of the state, communities, the humanitarian sector, and the international community.”

The forum served as an important platform for cooperation between municipalities, international donors, and the private sector. Representatives of European funds, sectoral associations, governments, and companies discussed the needs of frontline communities, key recovery challenges, and opportunities for launching joint pilot projects in water supply, energy efficiency, and innovative technologies.

The Water Recovery Forum 2025 once again demonstrated that Ukraine’s recovery is a shared process in which the participation of every sector is critically important. Water, as a fundamental resource, is becoming a central theme for the security, development, and resilience of Ukrainian communities.
